Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website or send us a request, and which rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Server log files

When you access this website, our web server automatically records the requested page, date and time, transferred data volume, browser type, operating system, referrer URL and the IP address in abbreviated form. This data is required to deliver the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted after 14 days at the latest.

3. Quotation and contact requests

If you submit a request form, we process the details you enter (name, company, e-mail address, phone number, delivery address, vehicle and part details, message) to prepare and send a quotation and to handle any resulting order. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). Requests are stored for as long as necessary to process them and thereafter in line with statutory retention periods.

4. Cookies and local storage

Without your consent this website sets no cookies and loads no analytics tools. Only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner is the tool described in section 5 loaded; it sets the cookies listed there. Your choice in the banner is stored in your browser’s local storage (entry “stahlor_consent”) for 12 months so that we do not ask again on every page; it is not transmitted to us. After 12 months, or if you delete the entry, we ask again.

When you use the vehicle selection or the quotation list, your browser stores the selected vehicle (entry “stahlor_vehicle”) and the parts on your list (entry “stahlor_rfq_list”) in its local storage. This data stays on your device; it is only transmitted to us if you send the quotation form, which is pre-filled with it (see section 3). After a successful submission the quotation list is emptied. You can remove the vehicle with “Clear” in the vehicle bar, remove individual parts with “×” on the quotation page, or delete both entries at any time in your browser settings (site data of car.stahlor.com). Storing these entries is strictly necessary for the functions you use (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

5. Web analytics with your consent

With your consent we use the following tool to understand which content is useful and where this website can be improved:

• Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. It records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, mouse movements) together with device and browser information, and creates heatmaps and session recordings from this. The contents of our request forms are masked in your browser. We tell Clarity that you have consented to analytics but not to advertising (analytics_Storage “granted”, ad_Storage “denied”).

Cookies of Microsoft Clarity (purposes as described in Microsoft’s Clarity cookie list; that list states no lifetimes. The lifetimes are our own measurement of September 2026: for the cookies of this website the expiry the Clarity script sets when writing them, for the cookies on Microsoft’s domains the expiry stored by the browser):

• _clck (first-party cookie of this website; 1 year): stores the Clarity user ID and preferences for this website, so that later visits are attributed to the same user ID.
• _clsk (first-party cookie of this website; 1 day): connects several page views into a single session recording.
• CLID (set by Microsoft on www.clarity.ms; 1 year): identifies the first time Clarity saw this browser on any website that uses Clarity.
• MUID (set by Microsoft on clarity.ms, bing.com; up to 390 days): identifies browsers visiting Microsoft sites; according to Microsoft it is used for advertising, site analytics and other operational purposes.
• SM (set by Microsoft on c.clarity.ms; session): synchronises the MUID across Microsoft domains.
• MR (set by Microsoft on c.clarity.ms, c.bing.com; 7 days): indicates whether the MUID should be refreshed.
• ANONCHK (set by Microsoft on c.clarity.ms; less than one day): indicates whether the MUID is transferred to ANID, a cookie used for advertising; according to Microsoft, Clarity does not use ANID and always sets this value to 0.
• SRM_B (set by Microsoft on c.bing.com; up to 390 days): was set in our measurement; Microsoft does not describe it in its Clarity cookie list.

Clarity writes _clck and _clsk for the whole domain stahlor.com, so these two cookies are also sent to our other subdomains (stahlor.com, caravan.stahlor.com, shop.stahlor.com). We cannot restrict this to a single host name. The cookies on clarity.ms and bing.com are set by Microsoft on its own domains.

Legal basis. Your consent: for storing and reading information on your device Section 25(1) TDDDG (formerly TTDSG), for the processing of personal data Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. If you click “Reject” or make no choice, Microsoft Clarity is not loaded.

Recipients and transfer to third countries. Recipients are the providers named above. Data may also be processed by Microsoft Corporation in the USA. The company is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; for certified companies the European Commission has found an adequate level of data protection (adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, Art. 45 GDPR).

Withdrawal. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page or here. The lawfulness of the processing carried out until the withdrawal remains unaffected (Art. 7(3) GDPR). On withdrawal we delete the cookies stored under this domain (_clck, _clsk) and no longer load Microsoft Clarity. Cookies that Microsoft has set on its own domains cannot be deleted by our website; you can remove them in your browser settings.

6. External services

The fonts used on this website are stored on our own server; no connection to an external font service is established. Apart from the tools described in section 5, which are only loaded with your consent, this website does not load any content from external providers.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
